ABOUT US
Dunoon Small Animal Rescue will assist and help all Stray, Injured or In Need small domestic animals.
We are a small non-profit voluntary organisation and we work with and alongside a number or other organisations including Cats Protection,Abbey Vets, SSPCA, Police Scotland, Cowal and Bute Dog Warden and various other agencies.
We rely fully on donations of money, food, blankets, cages and of course volunteers time. If you can help in any way or know of any small animal in need of care, warmth, food, love or a new home
please contact us on 01369 700195 or by email dunoonsmallanimalrescue@gmail.com.
We have donation bins at the CO-OP Dunoon and Daisy's Den Dunoon also can be dropped off at 124 John Street Dunoon (behind be-frienders).
We are always in need of foster homes for cats and dogs.
If you think you can help with this please get in touch. (All food ect for the animal will be provided when needed)
We are always looking for new volunteers if you have even just a couple hours to spare please get in touch and we will send out a volunteer form.
If it wasn't for all the help and support from the community and the agencies we work alongside we wouldn't be where we are today thanks to everyone
The Dunoon Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit voluntary organisation. We are not a charity.
This was decided upon by the DSAR committee and volunteers. This will allow us to expand the rescue and involve other community groups and members of the public.
COMMUNITY
As well as working with domestic animals its is also very important to us to have a good working relationship and support from the community that we live in.
One of our community schemes which is free to anyone with a pet is the Home for Life Scheme, this will give you a piece of mind if anything should happen to you and you can no longer care for your pet, we will.
To sign up for this scheme, please contact us and we will send you a form.
HEALTH
Due to a high number of feral cats in our community it's important to make sure that they are healthy and neutered so that they don't spread diseases and don't mate with our native Scottish Wild Cat.
If anybody in the community knows of any feral cats that might be in need of health check and neutered please contact us.
